Aeropuertos de Honduras Conducts Drill in Toncontín

Tegucigalpa, December 14th. Authorities of Aeropuertos de  Honduras realized jointly  with several representatives of different  institutions of the State a partial simulation of excursion in track known as  “Operation Fénix” in the Toncontín air terminal.-

The objective of this simulation is to evaluate and measure the response capacity of the external entities involved in the operations of the airport in the event of an emergency. This type of training serves to be ready and provide all the necessary security to the passengers that enter and leave the country.

With the execution of this simulation,  it  complies with the provisions of the National Civil Aviation Safety Program  found in chapter XI, Evaluation of Efficiency, highlighting the ongoing work of Aeropuertos de Honduras on safety operational  issues.

The Honduran Civil Aviation Authority (AHAC), the Honorable and Meritorious Fire Corps, the Honduran Red Cross, the Permanent Contingency Commission (COPECO), the Honduran Air Force (FAH) through the Air Base Hernán Acosta Mejía, Honduran Institute of Social Security (IHSS), University School Hospital (HEU), Honduran Airline Association (AHLA), Troop of 19 Scouts of Honduras, San Francisco of  Asis, National Transit Authority (DNT), Airport Fire Department, Aviation Security Division (DSA) and operational and administrative staff of Toncontin International Airport.

In this way, Aeropuertos de Honduras,  concessionaire of the four international airports of the country, reiterates its commitment to increase their safety by periodically verifying the effectiveness of its  procedures contained in their different plans and the proper coordination with the Different operational actors
