Tegucigalpa, January 15th. Aeropuertos de Honduras, concessionaire of the four international airports in the country, reports its quarterly payment transferred to the State for the last quarter of the year 2016 in the amount of more than 67.1 million of Lempiras.
From January to December Aeropuertos de Honduras has delivered to the State an amount of nearly 279 million Lempiras corresponding to the four quarters of the year 2016.
With this payment, Aeropuertos de Honduras, sums 2 thousand 722 million Lempiras paid to the State in concept of concession fee since the year 2000 to date, period during which the county’s international airports have been administered with positive results in the contribution towards the national economy.-
Edgardo Maradiaga, Manager of Aeropuertos de Honduras, said that: “the payment of the concession fee is the responsibility of the concessionaire with the State of Honduras, whose compliance in a timely manner is very pleasant because we contribute from the private sector towards the development of Honduras”.

In order to serve all passengers and to provide them with a better service, a contribution towards the modernization and operational safety is done, with a major investment of more than 63 million Dollars, by developing its own infrastructure for air navigation such as the expansion and maintenance of the run ways and also in the improvement of the infrastructure in the air terminals towards the attention of passengers.
