AS OF MARCH , CAYMAN AIRWAYS STARST WITH DIRECT FLIGHTS TO ROATAN

• A total of 13 airlines now operate to this date at Juan Manuel Gálvez airport. 

Roatán, March. Aeropuertos de Honduras informs that Cayman Airways Limited (CAL) is already in operation making direct flights twice a week between Grand Cayman Island and  Roatán as of March 16th. The airline has available planes such as Boeing 737_800 with a capacity for 180 passengers. 

With the arrival of this new airline, there are now 13 airlines that operate at Juan Ramón Gálvez airport, eight of which are international and five are national,  contributing towards the development and growth of tourism in the country, which is now at one of its best moments because of  the large number of passengers that circulate in the four air terminals, said the Manager of  Aeropuertos de Honduras Edgardo Maradiaga. 

Cayman Airways is the national airline of  Cayman Islands. Its hub is located at Owen Roberts International Airport in Grand Cayman and was founded in July 1968.

 The new nonstop flights to Roatán operate on Thursdays and Saturdays with departure flights from Grand Cayman at 6:50 p.m., arriving in Roatán at 7 p.m. (Roatán time), returning on Fridays and Sundays from Roatán departing at 7:35 a.m.,  and arriving in Grand Cayman at 9:45 a.m. local time.
